How to remove urine smell from carpet
Ingredients:
- 1 clean, dry cloth
- 1 spray bottle
- Half a cup of white vinegar
- Half a cup of alcohol
Procedure:
Put the alcohol and vinegar in the bottle. Then spray the liquid on the carpet where the urine remains. This procedure should be done 3 times. Next, wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth and let it dry (preferably in the sun or in a ventilated place).
Whenever you do, take the opportunity to clean the entire carpet: with this in mind, increase the amounts of alcohol and vinegar. The ideal, especially for those who have small children or pets at home, is to perform this cleaning at least twice a week.
How to remove the smell of urine from clothes

To remove the smell of urine from clothes, it is not enough to wash them in the traditional way. To properly disinfect clothes, it is necessary to use products that help to completely eliminate bad odors.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup of hot water
- A spray bottle
Procedure:
Mix the hot water with the white vinegar in the bottle fitted with a sprayer. Apply the liquid to your clothing until the area affected by the urine is well moistened. Put the clothes to be washed normally in the machine, with the usual detergent, then rinse with fabric softener. Hang the clothes to dry in a well-ventilated area.
To get rid of the smell of urine, it is also recommended to make a simple mixture containing washing powder and baking soda. The latter is also very useful for effectively cleaning and deodorizing clothes. This mixture should be prepared and used especially when there are difficult stains and strong odors on clothes.
How to remove the smell of urine from the sofa
Ingredients:
- A spray bottle
- 2 very clean kitchen towels
- 250 ml of white vinegar
- 1 liter of lukewarm water
Procedure:
In the spray bottle, add warm water and white vinegar. Spray this mixture on a cloth and clean the fabric of the sofa affected by urine. This procedure should be done 2-5 times (depending on the intensity of the smell).
Wipe with another clean, dry cloth to remove excess liquid. Let the sofa dry naturally. Remember to keep the area well ventilated and, if possible, expose it to sunlight.
How to remove the smell of urine from the mattress

Ingredients:
- A spray bottle.
- Half a cup of white vinegar.
- 1 cup of lukewarm water.
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of baking soda.
- Paper towels.
Preparation:
Place the paper towels on the mattress and allow them to soak up any excess (or leftover) urine. Spread the baking soda over the entire area of the mattress affected by urine.
Let the bicarbonate act for 1h30. Remove the baking soda with a vacuum, paper towel, or dry cloth. In the spray bottle, add warm water and white vinegar.
Ideally, store the mattress in a well-ventilated place with sunlight. To speed up drying, just use a hair dryer, making sure to keep a distance of 20 cm from the mattress fabric (so you don’t burn yourself).
