The important thing is to know that you can achieve a very attractive design with a few steps, as shown in the following example.
How to make a Christmas doll at home
Here we will tell you how to make your Christmas doll, step by step.
Materials:
- 2 balloons
- ball of white wool
- White glue
- Hot glue or silicone
- Bowl
- Scissors
- brush or brush
- Eva rubber or black cardboard
- Cloth
- Eva rubber or orange cardboard
- Felt or black card
- Trunks for the arms (optional)
- ribbon or bow
- Masking tape (the one we use to paint)
Elaboration:
First, we must inflate two balloons, making sure that one is bigger than the other, which is the one that will be the body. Later, we must join the ends of the balloons with adhesive tape or we can use a thread and tie them.
In a bowl we put the white glue mixed with water, the texture should be just a little watery, since we will need it to be able to wet the wool. Once ready, we introduce the wool and remove it so that it is impregnated.
The next thing is that we must try to cover the balloons by passing the wool over them, we must give considerable amounts of turns to achieve a fairly united fabric, but that still maintains separation.
At the end of putting the wool, with the brush we will paint the entire doll with the glue and let it dry for 24 hours, in some cases it may take longer to dry, the important thing is that it is dry before proceeding with the next step. It is important that we let the doll dry in an upright position (standing) so that it has a base later and does not fall all the time.
To make the union of the head with the body more firm, we will glue it with glue or hot silicone. That way it will stay more fixed.
Now we only have to decorate them, give them the appearance that we like the most, creating a hat and a scarf.
