Anti-inflammatory mango and turmeric smoothie
What do you need
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 1 banana (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
- ½ tablespoon chia seeds
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger (or grate some fresh ginger, if you have it)
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- A small pinch (or two) of ground black pepper
- Soak the chia seeds in the milk for about 10 minutes before making the smoothie. This softens the seeds and creates a thicker base for the smoothie. However, it is not necessary and the seeds can be added directly to the smoothie without soaking, but you should wait at least 10 minutes before drinking it.
2. Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix well.
